Open fireplaces; air-heating fittings.-An airheating fitting for an open fireplace comprises a metal body 18, a pair of forwardly or rearwardly extending and laterally-spaced cold air inlets 19, a pair of forwardly-extending hot air outlets 20. and baffles 21 within the body causing the entering air to circulate laterally towards the centre before passing upwardly. In a modification the centre portion of the top of the body is of reduced height to form a passage for the gases passing to the flue.
