431,153. Mounting fireback boilers. LIVESEY, H. S., Swanhill Lane, Pontefract, Yorkshire. Jan. 16, 1934, No. 1532. [Class 126] A fireback boiler 1 is mounted on bricks 2 so that flue gas passes under it and carries an auxiliary flue or extension 4 delivering into the chimney stack well above the couplings 5 of the flow and return pipes 6 of the boiler so as to protect them from flue gas. The extension 4 comprises a cast straight tube of uniform rectangular cross-section resting on the rear edge of the boilei and having a butterfly damper 7. Specification 163,547, [Class 126], is referred to.
