[Class 25] A deflector 4 is arranged between a liquid heater 2 and a flue gas hood 1 fitted with a baffle plate 3 so that, if a back draught occurs, the back draught gases are discharged in a lateral direction separately from the combustion gases. The lower portion of the deflector extends substantially horizontally and is of greater diameter than the bottom of the hood 1.
