Abstract

487,444. Heating air. DANIELS, W.. and SMITH, F. March 13, 1937, No. 7420. [Class 64 (i)] An air heater for rooms comprises a casing placed with its front 1 of cast iron in direct contact with the fire and contains vertical baffles 6 attached to the back of the casing and projecting forwards to deflect air passing through turbulently against the front heating surface. The casing has sheet metal top and bottom and two side projections 5. Air may be recirculated, or fresh air admitted from outside. Heated air may be distributed through ducts with adjustable grilles to other rooms.
