[Class 64 (i)] An air-heater fitted in a domestic or like firegrate consists of a cast metal box 1 forming the base of the grate and inclined rectangular side chambers 2, secured to the top of the box and provided with inclined baffle plates 4. A support 5 for a boiler is cast on or secured to the rear of the box 1, and side and rear plates 7 are fitted in the fire space to support the grate. The side chambers are stayed apart by an inclined back plate.
