367,465. Cooking ranges. WRIGHT & EAGLE RANGE, Ltd., J., Essex Works, Thimble Mill Lane, Aston, and ACHURCH, G. P., 49, Broad Street, both in Birmingham. Aug. 13, 1931, No. 33348/30. [Class 126.] A self-contained or portable cooking range, of the kind comprising an oven b above the fireplace, and enclosed on all sides except the front by heat-insulating walls, is provided with a rear wall formed of asbestos or like heatinsulating material arranged between metal plates, and with side walls having air spaces f through which air circulates by way of apertures f<1>, f<2>. In the stove shown the side walls are also provided with heat insulation e, and the bottom plate k is supported on feet l, a second plate m below it providing a heat-insulating air space. A back boiler g may be provided, above which is an inclined fire-back (not shown), dampers being provided to allow the gases to pass over the top of the fire-back direct to the uptake when an open fire is required, or through side flues o to the oven flues.
