[Class 64 (ii).] In a heat-accumulating block formed of soapstone plates 2 and 3 and provided with heating elements 1 and an insulating cover 4, a part 6 of the cover 4 can swing out to the position shown in the broken lines bring- ing with it the plate 3 so that a large surface is exposed for radiation of heat from the heatstoring mass. A screen 12, provided to minimise loss of heat by convection, carries a catch 14 to hold the flap 6 in place. The block may be arranged beneath a seat 10.
