459,570. Electric hot-plates. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, and HUMPHREYS, O. W., c/o General Electric Co., Ltd., Wembley, Middlesex. Dec. 13, 1935, No. 34621. [Class 39 (iii)] In a hot-plate comprising heating elements 4 embodied in refractory material beneatl a metal top plate 1, a number of drip edges 3 and 3<1> are pro vided formed by the lower edges of a number of flanges dependent from the main body of the plate. One of the edges may be serrated. The edges are not made sufficiently sharp to prevent the hot plate being stood thereon if desired. The flanges may be separately connected to the hot plate instead of branching from a common connection as shown.
