371,769. Electric cooking-stoves. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, HUMPHREYS, O. W. and STOPFORD, C. W., of General Electric Co., Wembley, Middlesex. Nov. 4, 1931, No. 30583. [Class 39 (iii).] The stove comprises a heat storage block 1 supported by chains 2 and positioned laterally by an insulating plate 3, one or more removable electric heaters 8 located in the block, an oven 7 below the block and fitted with one or more auxiliary heating elements 9, a change over switch 10 to enable the heaters to be selectively energized, and a removable metal reflecting plate 11 arranged under the block. A removable heat-conducting plate may be placed on the storage block to serve as a simmering plate. A hinged insulating cover 5 is fitted over the block, and a plate warming compartment 12 is arranged under the oven. The oven and block are surrounded by heat insulation.
