[Class 126] In the horizontal flue b of a fireback boiler B, a removable block A is placed with its base lying in the same plane as the base of the flue so as to leave a flue passage round the sides and top of the block. The firebrick or metal block has an inclined front end a, an upward projection a<2> at the rear and a transverse slot a<4> in its top to facilitate removal. The boiler is of the form described in Specification 467,687, [Group XIII].
