Abstract

502,054. Hot closets. LEACH, A. E., and MARCO REFRIGERATORS, Ltd. Dec. 15, 1937, No. 34732. [Class 34 (i)] A hot closet provided with a base chamber 7 housing a fan 3 and associated with an electrical heating element, has an inlet air duct 4, Fig. 3, arranged between a pair of outlet air ducts 11 on its rear wall, the inlet duct being open to the atmosphere at or near the top of the closet and communicating at its lower part with the chamber 7 and the outlet ducts opening at their upper ends into the 'top of the closet and communicating with the atmosphere at their lower ends. Walls 15 of sheet metal separate the ducts, and condensate from the ducts 11 is collected in trays, 16 arranged therebeneath. A horizontal louvred plate 8 separates the drying space from the heating chamber. The closet may be of steel lined with asbestos sheeting.
