Abstract

304,255. Newberry, C. P. Oct. 11. 1927. Spray - carburettors. - The passage through the choke tube b is controlled by a streamlined air valve a provided with an annular fuel orifice and having a tubular stem c dipping into a float chamber d, the stem c being provided with a restriction h which coacts with a needle valve k to control the fuel supply simultaneously with the air. The valve a is actuated by a manuallyoperated pinion m engaging teeth l on the stem c. The air is admitted through ports p situated below the choke tube. The stem u of the needle valve passes through the bottom of the float chamber and may be adjusted by a wheel r. The float e coacts with a fuel inlet valve g carried by a lever f.
