Abstract
154,158. Sj÷rgen, C. A. W. May 10, 1919, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors. - The fuel duct 13 is formed in one wing of the throttle valve 3 situated in front of a choke tube 11. The spindle 4 of the throttle valve is bored to receive a fixed tube 5 through which fuel passes from the float chamber 1. The tapered outlet orifice 12 from the tube 5 is controlled, in accordance with the movement of the throttle valve, by its registering more or less with the nozzle duct 13. The spindle of the throttle valve is vertical. The tube 5 is flanged at its lower end, a notch in the flange being engaged by a pin to prevent it from rotating. Below the flange is a perforated disk pressed upwardly by a spring bearing against a screwed cap.
