Abstract

100,439. Soc. dite M. Goudard et Mennesson. May 12, 1915, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors.-The nozzle f is fed from the float chamber b through a calibrated orifice g<2> in the end and a radial orifice g<3> in the wall of a tube g, which is screw-threaded into the bore d of larger diameter so as to leave an annular space, which communicates through the passage c with the nozzle f. The upper portion a<1> of the carburettor body contains the throttle valve i and the fioat chamber cover b<1>, and is attached to the lower portion a by a bolt j. The upper and lower portions are provided with conduits h<1>, h which can be put into communication to form a by-pass for slow running, through a hole in the flange m<1> of a rotatable portion m, which forms a choke-tube and controls also extra air ports c<3>. The conduit h<1> may open above the throttle valve. The cover b<1> of the float chamber contains a filter k secured by a cap b<4> and spring k<1>.
