Abstract
175,732. Lombardini, G. Nov. 17, 1920. Spray carburettors.-The lower end a<1> of the casing a is bell-shaped to form an air inlet d and encloses a float chamber c screwed into a head b formed integral with or secured by webs b<1> to the upper part of the bell-shaped casing. Between the float chamber and the head b is a ring c<1> having an annular fuel-recess h which communicates with the air passage d through an annular slit. The fuel flow from the float chamber to the recess h is controlled by a manuallyactuated valve comprising a cap riveted to a screwed stem. Fuel reaches the float chamber from a conduit e' after passing a valve g<1>, on the stem of which is a collar g<3> engaged by the float. An oppositely coned valve g<2> prevents escape of fuel in the event of the float chamber being removed. A by-passage m<1>, m<2> delivering near the edge of the throttle a<2> receives fuel from a valve-controlled passage m and air from a passage m<3>. The float may be depressed by a rod having a groove to permit of the escape of air.
