Lever-actuated pumps; speed and stroke, varying.-A liquid pump for an internal-combustion engine comprises a plunger 12, the speed of which can be varied by adjusting the position of the fulcrum 29 of a slotted lever 28 which is oscillated by a connection 27 with a crank-shaft and drives a connecting rod 34, carried by a pivoted link 35. The fuel is delivered at the middle of the stroke of the plunger 12 and the amount is regulated by varying the timing of the opening of a ,suction by-pass valve 47.
