Centrifugal governors.-A centrifugal governor controls the fuel-pump of an internal - combustion engine by means of a cam or eccentric g which is slidable on a sleeve h and actuates the pump lever f. The sleeve h has a camslot engaging a pin carried by the cam, so that, as the arm is moved axially, it is turned on the sleeve h to adjust the time of delivery. The sleeve h may be angularly adjusted on the shaft, to alter the time of delivery. The slot j may be V-shaped to allow for reversal of the engine.
