Regulating.-Fuel is fed by a pump 3 through orifices 16 on to the surface of gauze diaphragms through which air from the pump 18 flows towards orifices 20 converging on the injection valve 21. The valve is opened by a cam 23, and the quantity of fuel admitted is controlled by a port in the cam shaft 10, which slides under the influence of the governor. The pump has a spring-loaded relief valve 7.
