Abstract

285,540. Molins, W. E. Nov. 12, 1926. Pile tables; sheet carriers, guides, and separators.-In a machine for making shells of drawer-and-shell boxes the blanks are supported by a reciprocating table 26, Fig. 4, against uprights 30 from which the leading blank is taken by a needle feed 32 reciprocated and oscillated by a crank disc 36 and a cam 38 to engage the blank and feed it between a belt 40 and drum 41, from which it is fed over plates 61 and between side guides 60 to the scoring and embossing rollers. The blank is fed squarely to the scoring and embossing rollers and to the folding &c. devices by pairs of oscillating arms 46, 50, 57 carrying spring-controlled pawls which engage the rear edge of the blank, which is pressed on the bed of the machine by brushes 58.
