Creasing and scoring.-Relates to apparatus for creasing or folding paper, especially applicable to the creasing of paper for forming packets of powders and the like. Paper 11 is fed intermittently by rollers 12 between members 2, 4 and vertically reciprocating plates 3, 5. shown in Fig. 1, in the lower position. As the members 3, 5 rise, the knife edge 9 of a pivoted block 10 enters a recess 8 in the plat'e 5 and creases the paper transversely to the feed. When the members 3, 5 fall to their lowest position, knives 6, 7 sever the paper into wrappers. The cam 16, which controls the movement of the plates 3, 5. is formed with a depression 23 which causes the cutting stroke, and two studs 24 which cause the creasing operations between each cutting stroke.
