Abstract

281,772. Molins, W. E. Sept. 9, 1926. Rotary-blade machines.-A machine with a fixed cutter 14 and a rotary blade 15 severs a web 4 fed by rolls 1 through guides 11. A pronged stripper 22 hinged to a bar 20 pivoted to the cylinder is protruded by a fixed cam, and is retracted by a spring, to free the leading edge of the web from the blade 15. An inclined stripper 17 frees the web from the fixed blade. In a modification the stripper 22 is hinged on a rod parallel to the axis of the cylinder. Specifications 165,891 and 245,261 are referred to.
