Abstract
320,856. Gabbott, W. F. July 17, 1928. Stationary cutter machines; rotary - blade machines.-In a machine for cutting and crosscutting fibrous material, e.g. cotton waste, discs 9 co-operate with a roller 7 to sever the material longitudinally, and blades 15 co-operate with a roller 13 for effecting the transverse cut. The cutters are mounted in pivoted end brackets to allow of access to the cutter members, and the cutters are positioned so that the material is held by the cutters 9 while the blades 15 are in operation. The roller 13 may be grooved to assist the feed.
