481,852. Cutting paper. HAUBOLD AKT.-GES., C. G. July 6, 1937, No. 18733. Convention date, Dec. 23, 1936. [Class 31 (i)] In a machine for cutting a paper web transversely or obliquely, the paper is fed through the machine by conveyer bands 1 which are guided round or through the lower cutter bar 12 by rollers 4, 5, 6, 7 mounted on supports 8. The supports 8 are guided longitudinally by rails 9 so as to remain a fixed distance apart transversely when the cutter bar 12 is swung round a pivot 13, and are coupled to the cutter bar by pins 10 engaging a slot 11. A rotatable upper cutter 2 co-operates with the lower cutter 3 fixed on the bar 12. Adjacent pairs of guide rollers are preferably mounted on a single support 8. Fixed guides 14, 15 with oblique edges 16, 17 are also provided for the paper web.
