Abstract

482,078. Making box-blanks. MULLER, J. C., PONNDORF, A., and FUHRMANN, W. May 10, 1937, No. 13273. [Class 31 (i)] In a machine for stamping-out box-blanks 2 from a web 1, co-operating dies 6, 7 and 8, 9 are shaped so as to cut out the waste in two or more portions 3, 4 and provide two or more blanks simultaneously. The blanks are fed away by driven rollers 14, 15 and co-operating free rolls 26, 27 carried by the die plates 10, 5, the upper rolls being yieldable against springs 30, 31. The roll 15 is driven faster than the roll 14 to separate the blanks. More than two pairs of rolls may be provided.
