Abstract

1347062 Paper-making apparatus BLACK CLAWSON CO 27 May 1971 [12 Aug 1970] 17665/71 Heading D2A A multiply paper-making machine comprises two endless foraminous belts 10, 20 providing a horizontal run 13 of the belt 20 and two opposed generally vertical runs 25, 26 of both belts; and stock deposition devices 30-32 for feeding stock to the horizontal and vertical runs. The belt 10 extends over suction rolls 11, 12, foils 16 and section boxes 17, and liquid is collected by a tray 18, and the belt 20 extends over foils 28, liquid being collected by a tray 29. Suction boxes may also be provided for the belt 20. The device 30 may be a pressure former. 25% of the finished sheet may be formed from stock delivered by the device 30 and 10% from that delivered by the device 31. Only two or more than three stock deposition devices may be provided. The web is transferred via a felt 41 to a press section.
