Abstract

1343700 Paper-making apparatus ENSO-GUTZEIT OSAKEYHTIO 19 April 1971 [26 Jan 1970] 20410/71 Heading D2A A paper-making apparatus comprises a head box for feeding the fibre pulp and disposed along the work path two breast rollers 3 and 4 about which wires 2 and 24 pass to define a lip to the funnel formed by the wires, a breast plate 5 having a convex surface against which the radially inner one of the wires engages, draining means 6 defining a plurality of supporting points engaging the radially inner one of the wires and disposed downstream of the breast plate to define an arcuate work path having a curvature which decreases continuously in a downstream direction, suction boxes 10 located downstream of the supporting points, and means for carrying a fibre web from the wires. The draining means may include table rolls 7 and rollers 8.
