Abstract

278,022. Olivetti & Co., C. Sept. 27, 1926, [Convention date]. Inductor machines.-An ignition &c. magneto comprises one or more fixed magnets 1 enclosing a fixed armature 12 having pole-pieces 13, 15, shaped as shown in Fig. 3, and a rotating inductor consisting of two circular segments 10, 11 of magnetic material carried by a non-magnetic shaft 4. The inductor segments preferably are laminated and are supported by non-magnetic flanges 7, 8, 9 and secured by metal rods passing through the laminae and the flanges.
