Magneto electric machines.-A magnet for a magneto-electric machine consists of a number of permanent bar-magnets N, S clamped between a magnetic disc b and a non- magnetic disc a. Recesses in the disc a receive the ends of the magnets and the disc may be formed with the cylindrical extension as shown, forming a casing for the whole. The discs are secured together by bolts f and formed with bearings for the armature g.
