Registering webs.-For threading webs to the printing-couples of rotary machines the couples are driven at slow speed, and the web is guided to the couples by plates 13 curved at their ends 17 which extend nearly to the lines of contact of the cylinders, and act as hand-guards to prevent injury to the hands of the operator. The plates 13 are supported by arms 14 on a supporting shaft 15, and the web is pushed over the plate to start the feed.
