[Class 100 (i).] In a sheet-collecting cylinder the peripheral length is varied to compensate for the thickness of the sheets added. Cylinders a mounted on a shaft b are provided with pivoted segments l, m the free ends of which are moved inwards by links m3 controlled by shaft d. A similar shaft controls the needles f. Both shafts are connected to box cams which regulate the phases of the segment and needle movements.
