Abstract
355,372. Printing - machines. LINOTYPE & MACHINERY, Ltd., 9, Kingsway, London, and SAX, C., 346, Rue Dambrugge, Antwerp, Belgium. May 27, 1930, No. 16271. Addition to 267,239, [Class 100 (ii), Printing processes &c.]. [Class 100 (ii).] Set-off, preventing; rotary machines.-In a sheettransfer cylinder 1 of a two-colour printing-machine which is fitted with strips 7 adjustable longitudinally .of the cylinder as described in the parent Specification, supplementary strips 8 are interposed between the ends of the strips 7 in order to prevent fouling of the ends of the sheets in the gap 15 wherein the transfer grippers 4 are arranged. The strips 8 are preferably serrated, and are attached to spring clips 9 secured bv means of screws 10 and nuts 11 to the shaft 14 of the grippers, or to a similar shaft arranged in the gap 15. The strips 8 are adjustable longitudinally of the cylinder, and are preferably set so as to be approximately in circumferential alignment with the strips 7.
