Abstract

384,132. Printing-machines. HOE & CO., Ltd., R., 109, Borough Road, London. -(Hoe & Co., Inc., R. ; 138th Street, New York, U.S.A.) Feb. 13, 1932, No. 4342. [Class 100 (i).] Cutting, folding, and associating apparatus for printing-machines comprises two folding- formers 11, 12 over which printed webs pass, sheet cutting, collecting, and folding cylinders 20, 22 and 21, 23 each with its own delivery 26, 27 respectively for dealing with the separate webs, and transfer and cutting cylinders 28, 29 by means of which the web from the former 12 may be cut and associated with the sheets on the cylinder 22. Rollers 18, 19 guide the web direct from the former 12 to the rollers 28, 29 when the apparatus 21, 23 is not in use. The cutting-cylinders 20, 21, 28 may be used as collecting-cylinders.
