[Classes 100 (i) and 100 (ii).] A sheet folding and delivery mechanism comprising a pair of folding cylinders and a cylinder cooperating alternatively with one folding cylinder as a collecting cylinder or with both the folding cylinders as a transfer cylinder. The folding cylinders 1, 77 are of such size as to accommodate two sheets upon the circumference and are provided with impaling pins 18, 85 and double bladed folding blades 33, 95. A cylinder 14, of such size as to accommodate one sheet upon its circumference, is provided with impaling pins 59. The web is cut by co-operating cutting devices 11, 12, 13 between cylinders 1, 14. During straight running alternate sheets are taken by the impaling pins 18, 59, and the sheet taken by the latter is passed to impaling pins 85 and the sheets delivered to the respective delivery mechanism. For collecting the pins 85 are rendered inoperative and the two sheets collected on pins 18 before folding. To change from straight running to collecting the position of the cam 64 operating the pins 59 is varied.
