[Class 100 (ii).] Inking-apparatus.-In inking-mechanism for a reciprocating-bed machine comprising forme rollers 9 . . 12 receiving ink from a separate set of distributer rollers A rotating constantly in one direction, some or all of the forme rollers are held out of contact with the forme during its travel in one direction. The movable forme rollers 11, 12 and their associated distributers 14 .. 17 are rotated continuously in one direction, the remaining forme rollers 9, 10 and vibrator 13 rotating in opposite directions with reversal of travel of the bed 8. Ink is transferred from the set A to the two sets of forme rollers by an oscillating roller 23 in rolling contact with the drum 7 and alternately engaging the rollers 13, 15..
