Abstract
262,429. Brandstorp, W. O. S. Dec. 2, 1925, [Convention date]. Driving-gear.-In a two or four stroke internal combustion engine, a roller carried by a reciprocatory piston bears against a cam on the rotary member, the active surface or surfaces of which are of involute form arranged so that the reaction is in the direction of the stroke. The roller p is carried by a bracket n secured directly to the piston d which is formed with an enlarged or flanged end k working in a subsidiary chamber m communicating through a duct u with the exhaust so that a pressure is maintained to keep the roller p in contact with the cam.
