Combustion-product plant. - Combustion-products for the direct drive of vehicles by reaction force are generated in a four-stroke internal-combustion engine comprising two cylinders in open communication and provided with a compressor piston 2 and a smaller driving piston 3 connected to a crank-sha.ft 4. The piston 2 is connected to a lever 11 actuated by a cam 7 on a shaft 6 driven at crank-shaft speed through toothed gearing, so that the piston 2 moves with the piston 3 during the suction and compression strokes and is held at rest during the expansion and exhaust strokes of the piston 3 by the semi-circular part of the cam 7. The engine has an inlet valve 8 and an oscillating exhaust valve 9 actuated by cams 25 on a shaft 13 geared to the crank-shaft 4.
