Piston-rods; crossheads.-In an internal-combustion engine the piston-rod 3 carries a roller 4 working in a cam-groove a in the flywheel 12; the groove is duplicated around the flywheel to effect a complete four-stroke-cycle in one revolution. The piston is guided by a fork-like extension 5, 6, each arm of the fork being guided by balls in spring-pressed cages 9, 10.
