Magazines and escapements.-In machines having an adjustable column of magazines, the escapement-reeds and the magazine-entrance are simultaneously moved out of engagement with the magazine by means of a three-armed lever, of which one arm b is formed as a cam and is adapted to act on the pivoted guide m of the. escapement-reeds m, the second arm c is connected by a link t to the magazine-entrance d and the third arm a serves as a handle.
