Distributing matrices.-In order to allow thick matrices to enter the grooves of the distributorscrews to clear the separator-dogs C<1>, Fig. 1, of the distributor-box, the thread of each screw B is recessed or cut away, as shown at B<1>, Fig. 3, from a point adjacent to the groove entrance of the screw, so that tht last convolution of the thread is of reduced thickness.
