Flexible transmitters. - A front wheel brake mechanism comprises a brake drum a attached to the road wheel and a cover plate e fixed to the axle socket with brake shoes d, pivoted thereon, that project into the drum. The cam operating spindle i for expanding the shoes is positioned so that it projects through the cover plate at a point away from the centre line of the axle pivot and carries a segmental head k actuated by a Bowden wire control fitted with adjusters 7. The exterior of the brake drum may carry teeth engaging the gearing of a speedometerdrive.
