Abstract

226,908. Wilkinson, G. Oct. 22, 1923. Atmospheric gas burners. - The burner comprises a burner head in the form of a thick plate d, provided with a plurality of rows of long outlet nozzles e, projecting upwardly within preferably concentric recesses e<1> and terminating below the level of the upper surface of the plate, transverse secondary air passages g communicating with the recesses e' being provided between the rows of nozzles. The burner is provided with lugs h and feet i. In a modified gas-fire burner in which a single row of nozzles e is provided in the plate d, as shown in Fig. 4, secondary air passes through ducts a from the front of the plate to a chamber b, covered by a back plate b<1>, thence through ducts c to the recesses e'.
