Addition to 304,142, [Class 75 (i), Burners &c.]. [Class 75 (i).] A pulverulent or gaseous fuel burner comprises a casing b which is supplied with air through a conduit a and is divided into two separate discharge nozzles d by a central inset member c formed with lateral slots e through which fuel is discharged over approximately the whole width of the nozzles d. Ribs f may be provided in the nozzles d immediately above the slots e and ribs g, staggered relatively to the ribs f, may be provided in the member c. One or more burners may be mounted on the steam or water tubes h cooling the walls of the furnace.
