343,177. Palverulent - fuel burners. ALLGEMEINE BLEKTRICIT€TS - GES., 2, Friedrich Karl Ufer, Berlin. Nov. 19, 1929, No. 35380. Convention date, Sept. 23. [Class 75 (i).] A pulverulent-fuel burner comprises a casing g formed with nozzles c through which fuel mixture is discharged into the firebox mouth b in directions which are tangential to a small circle having its centre on the burner axis and are at an angle with a plane at right-angles to the burner axis. Secondary air is supplied to the mixture from a casing d through an apertured wall or detachable grid f. The casing g may be of spiral form and be fitted with one or more adjustable curved plates h or may be of uniform diameter and of diminishing width in the direction of the burner axis. The air may be caused to whirl, preferably in a direction opposite to that of the fuel mixture, by adjustable guide vanes carried by the casing g or grid f. A number of supply casings and rings of nozzles discharging fuel in the same or opposite directions may be arranged in series.
