Liquid-fuel furnaces.- A liquid-fuel furnace is provided with an air casing C fitted with spiral or helical air vanes C<1> of decreasing pitch; the vanes C<1> are mounted in axially adjustable rings surrounding an adjustable refractory baffle D and are preferably pivoted so that their inclination may be independently or simultaneously adjustable. The oil jet from the burner B impinges on a firebrick ring E and may burn with additional air entering through apertures a<3>.
