Abstract
462,414. Liquid - fuel burners. PROGRESSA-JURIGOZ SOC. ANON. Feb. 19, 1936, No. 5086. Convention date, Feb. 19,1935. [Class 75 (i)] A liquid-fuel burner comprises a, circular basin 1 having its base formed as an upwardly projecting cone 3 and mounted in a casing 5 connected to an air supply duct 7. Liquid fuel is supplied to the apex of the cone by a pipe 12 and burns with air passing into the basin through orifices 9, 10. These orifices are inclined upwardly and are arranged at an angle to planes containing the axis of the basin so that the air currents impinge on one another and circulate in the same direction around the cone. Scavenging air currents circulating in the same direction are supplied to the bottom of the basin by downwardly inclined orifices 11. Unburnt fuel flows through openings 13 into the casing 6, and is removed by a drain pipe 14.
