Abstract

342,797. Pulverulent, gaseous, and liquid fuel burners. CLARKE, CHAPMAN & CO., Ltd. and WOODESON, W. A., Victoria Works, Gateshead-on-Tyne. Nov. 12, 1929, No. 34529. [Class 75 (i).] The mixture of fuel and primary air is delivered by a circular pipe 1 having a narrow elongated outlet 2 into a flared chamber 3 in which it mixes with secondary air from a casing 7, which air enters around the outlet 2 and through ports 9 provided in the walls of the mixing chamber beyond forwardly inclined projections 8. The projections on the walls are relatively staggered and are preferably perpendicular to one another. The mouth of the mixing chamber is provided with a positioning flange 10 formed with air ports 12, and may be flattened so as to have two long curved walls. Specifications 309,641 and 323,484, [both in Class 75 (i), Burners &c.], are referred to.
