303,696. Bolinders Mekaniska Verkstads Aktiebolag, J. & C. G., and Wester, K. R. March 26, 1928. Atmospheric gas burners.-In a double burner having main jet orifices 13 and supplementary jet orifices 14, a bowl-shaped mixing chamber 10 is provided under the cap 11 of the supplementary burner, this chamber comprising a substantially unobstructed space of a height and diameter each two or three times the diameter of the inlet passage 6 for the mixture; a circumferential groove 15, the bottom of which is above the inner mouths of the jet orifices 14, is formed in the cap 11. The chamber 10 provides sufficient space for an intimate mixing of the gas and air, which effect is increased by whirling brought about by the groove 15. Gas is supplied to the chamber 10 through an orifice 8 in a - separate gas conduit 7.
