219,146. South Metropolitan Gas Co., and Chandler, D. June 21, 1923. Atmospheric gas burners. -A plug B having a number of grooves C, is fitted loosely in the cylindrical bore of a burner-head A, a flange D on the plug having a plurality of grooves E, communicating with, and preferably of the same cross-sectional area as, the grooves C, resting on the top of the burner-head. In a modification, the burner head A, instead of the plug, is provided with grooves such as C, and grooves such as E are provided in the top of the burner head or on the underside of the flange D.
