Atmospheric gas burners; burners, mounting. -The burner comprises larger and smaller mixing-tubes 1, 2 communicating respectively through chambers 7, 13 with upper and lower rings of burner orifices constituting the main and auxiliary burners. The smaller orifices may be formed by V-shaped notches 19 cast or cut in the flange 14 resting on the upper end of the chamber 7. the larger orifices being formed between projections 18 in the flange and the cap 21, or the orifices may be formed in the upper end of the chamber 7 and in the underside of the cap. One or more layers of wine gauze or the like may be provided in the chamber 13 to prevent backfiring. The air-inlet or inlets of the mixing-tube 1 may be controlled by a hit-and-miss regulator. The mixing-tube 1 and chamber 7 are cast integral with an extension 26 adapted to support the burner on a gas-stove.
