Abstract

224,029. Kahn Akt-Ges., R., and Clasen, W. Aug. 28, 1923. Atmospheric gas burners.-The burner comprises an annular member b, and depending mixing - tube b<1>, supported by ribs f on a cup-shaped member c secured to a nipple d, and an inverted cupshaped member a carried by the member b so as to form a chamber e having lateral orifices g. The air supply is heated while passing through the members a, c, the member a preferably extending below the lower end of the mixing-tube b<1>. The underside of the top a<1> of the member a has preferably the form, in diametrical section, of two semi-parabolas. Interchangeable members b are provided so that the cross-sectional areas of the mixing-tube and surrounding air-inlet passage may be varied. In a modification, the member b is supported directly on the upper end of the member c and is provided with a depending cylindrical member, provided at its upper end with apertures forming, with corresponding apertures in the member c, a hit-,and-miss air regulator. An operating-pin, screwed through the member a and fitting into a slot in the member b, may be provided.
